Escapes: People in sunny Russia
This warm ode to Russia in the springtime is like an Instagram account come to life. According to filmmaker Aris Basis, this is because he explored during the ideal season to visit: Spring. So it comes as no surprise that he recommends trying some of the country’s traditional ice cream and vodka cocktails on a rooftop garden over looking the Red Square in Moscow. The warmth of the people who live in the two cities struck Aris as especially lovely. Even though many people didn’t speak English, which made it difficult to communicate sometimes, he always felt welcome. His advice for visitors is to bring a good pair of walking shoes, wander around on a sunny day and let the environment inspire you.
Russia looks beatiful in the spring, add it to your personal map for the next time you are thinking of springtime travel destinations!
